Paul Baena

Chief Estimator

Paul Baena has been Western Electrical Management’s chief estimator since 2015. In this capacity, Paul engages with stakeholders and develops detailed budgets by sourcing materials, obtaining vendor quotes and thoroughly reviewing specifications and blueprints.

Paul is a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with over 15 years of experience working on commercial and residential projects. The experiences he had while working as an electrical supervisor and project manager have contributed to a firm understanding of the materials and schedules required to successfully complete electrical contracting projects.

Continuous research and excellent working relationships with stakeholders also contribute substantially to his strategic approach to estimating even the largest commercial projects. Paul is particularly proud of estimates he developed for the Hines Tower +15 Redevelopment and Cenovus’s Fit-Out at Brookfield Place. Both began at the budget stage with design criteria only. Paul was able to provide budgets from 0% drawings until the tender process had been completed. WEM’s project team then successfully brought the projects to completion while keeping the schedule and budget ontrack.
