Matthew Rogers

Chief Financial Officer

Matthew Rogers joined Western Electrical in September 2012. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the financial and administrative operations of the company. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, having earned his CA designation in 2007.

Matthew worked in residential construction for 5 years before starting his career in accounting and finance with KPMG in 2004. Prior to joining Western Electrical, Matthew held various senior accounting roles in both public and private companies in the energy and mining sector.

Beyond a healthy balance sheet, Matthew derives great satisfaction from influencing culture and promoting corporate responsibility. He believes successful organizations stem from engaged employees and trusting business relationships. Outside of work, Matthew is active with his family and contributes to his community through his involvement with youth and charitable organizations.
